Dream Home Plans Important Information and Plan Licensing Agreement

Construction Oversight and Compliance
Dream Home Plans provides plans for construction purposes, but does not oversee the construction process. The plan purchaser is responsible for ensuring that the plan meets local building codes and regulations. The purchaser must verify all measurements, lot conditions, and ensure the plan complies with the requirements of their municipality. Additional expenses for structural analysis or engineering specifications required to meet local codes are the purchaser's responsibility.

Additional Engineering Requirements
The purchaser understands that certain environmental conditions in their area may require additional engineering, including:

  • Wind / Hurricane / Tornado conditions
  • Seismic / Earthquake risks
  • Heavy Snowfall
  • Flood potential
  • Soil Instability
  • Timber Frame Engineering

Exclusions from Plans
The purchaser understands that HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems are not included in all plans and may need to be addressed separately.

Plan Licensing Agreement:

Grant of License
Dream Home Plans grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, and non-sub-licensable license to use the plans purchased from Dream Home Plans. The License is personal to you and is strictly for personal, non-commercial purposes. Commercial use is prohibited. The License is valid as long as you comply with the terms of this Agreement. It automatically terminates if you breach the terms.

Use of License
The license grants you the right to use the purchased plans for building the structure at a single location. The purchaser is responsible for verifying all lot conditions, measurements, and obtaining necessary structural analysis and engineering specifications. You may only use the plans for construction at your designated location. Reusing the plans at a different location or for additional builds requires a new agreement with Dream Home Plans.

Ownership of Materials
All plans and related materials provided under this license remain the property of Dream Home Plans. The license grants you a non-exclusive, non-sub-licensable, and non-transferable right to use the plans as outlined in this Agreement.

Fees
The license fee is the price paid at the time of purchasing the plans.

Termination of License
The license is automatically terminated if:

  • You violate or breach any terms of this Agreement.
  • You attempt to assign, sublicense, or transfer the license.
    Upon termination, you must immediately cease using the plans. Termination does not entitle you to a refund of any license fees.

No Derivative Works or Modifications
You are prohibited from creating derivative works, modifying the plans, or allowing others to do so. The plans may only be printed for personal use and may not be reproduced in any other medium. Commercial use is strictly prohibited.

Reservation of Rights
Dream Home Plans retains all rights, including copyright, to the plans provided. This applies even if you have contributed to the design process.

Disclaimer of Warranties
Except for the warranty that Dream Home Plans has the right to license the plans and that the plans do not infringe on intellectual property rights, all plans are provided "as is" without any other warranties. Dream Home Plans does not guarantee the plans will be error-free, and is not responsible for any loss or damages caused by the use of the plans.
